Don't drink that cereal milk! Make a Cereal Milk latte instead. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced Latte
Yes, you read the title correctly. Your favorite cereal just made your morning (or afternoon, I'm not here to judge.) cup for joe that much better. Before you slurp that delicious cereal milk from the bottom of your bowl, elevate it to latte status by using the recipe below! Take that milk infused with your favorite cereal and pour it over some java. This cereal milk coffee is a sure way to get your breakfast buzz on. Plus, it's a latte fun!
Some recipes call for hot cereal milk latte, but I like mine iced! If you prefer hot lattes, no worries. Just skip the ice and pop your latte into the microwave for a few seconds. I've also seen other recipes use fruity cereal, like Lucky Charms Fruity Pebbles, but I chose Cinnamon Toast Crunch since I thought the cinnamon paired better with coffee. Ingredients
1 cup milk
½ cup cinnamon toast crunch cereal
1 double shot espresso (or 6 oz of strong coffee)
2 tbs brown sugar
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Stir together the milk and cereal. Set in the fridge for 5-10 minutes.
While waiting on the cereal milk, pull a double shot of espresso. Mix the brown sugar and the cinnamon into the espresso.
Remove the cereal milk from the fridge and strain the cereal from the milk.
Pour and mix the milk into the cup with espresso, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add ice.
Top with whipped cream, crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think in the comments!

ReplyDeleteHey Lacey! I am SO glad you posted this recipe. I used to get coffee from Grin Coffee in Hattiesburg very often, and they had come out with a cereal milk iced coffee option! But, I never had the chance to try it before they moved on to a new coffee special. I am definitely looking forward to trying this, and am super pumped for your newsletter!!
